미국 LA 할리우드 차병원이 미국 시사주간지 U.S. News & World Report가 발표한 병원평가에서 ‘산모 진료·분만 병원(Maternity Care)’ 부문 최고 병원으로 선정됐다. 2025년에 이어 2년 연속 우수 병원으로 평가받았다.

U.S. News & World Report는 미국 전역 901개 병원의 분만·출산 서비스를 대상으로 ▲제왕절개수술 비율 ▲중증 신생아 합병증 발생률 ▲모유수유 비율 ▲출산 친화 정책 등 주요지표를 종합 평가했다.

할리우드 차병원은 필요 외의 수술적 분만을 줄여 제왕절개수술 비율 23.9%를 기록했으며, 산모 합병증 감소를 위한 체계적인 개선 프로젝트를 운영해 산모 친화적 병원으로 인정받았다. 또 분만관련 정보를 제공하는 산전교실을 운영하고, 출산 후에는 모유수유 상담을 수시로 하는 등 출산 전·후를 아우르는 통합케어프로그램이 높은 평가를 받았다.

할리우드 차병원은 국내 유일의 해외병원 개발·투자 기업인 차헬스케어가 운영하고 있다. 차병원·차바이오그룹은 현재 전세계 7개국에서 96개 의료기관 네트워크를 구축하고 있다. 그 중 할리우드 차병원은 LA지역 대표 민간종합병원으로 89개의 간호 병상을 포함해 총 434개의 병상을 보유하고 있으며, 550여 명의 의사 및 전문 의료진이 종합적인 의료서비스를 제공하고 있다.

CHA Medical Center in Hollywood, Los Angeles, USA, has been named the best hospital in the “Maternity Care” category in a hospital evaluation published by U.S. News & Report. This marks the second consecutive year it has been ranked this way, following 2025.

U.S. News evaluates how well hospitals perform in childbirth using C-section rates, newborn severe complication rates, routine vaginal birth after cesarean delivery (VBAC) rates, episiotomy rates, best practices to support breast milk feeding, whether a hospital meets federal criteria for “birthing-friendly” practices, and whether a hospital tracked and reported disparities in outcomes.

Hollywood CHA Medical Center achieved a 23.9% to 27% of first-time, low-risk pregnancies at full term that were delivered by Cesarean section. Also recognized as a Birthing-Friendly, have demonstrated their commitment to improving maternal outcomes by participating in quality improvement collaboratives and implementing one or more projects related to maternal morbidity to address complications. It also received high marks for operating prenatal classes that provide information on childbirth and offering ongoing breastfeeding counseling after birth.
