Emergency Department and Cath Lab Receive STEMI Certification

Last month, the ED and Cath Lab department received the STEMI certification.
STEMI is an acronym for ST elevation myocardial infarction, the most serious type of heart attack. During such attacks, the coronary artery is completely blocked off by a blood clot, causing significant portions of the heart muscle to die.
According to Jan Anotado, Director, Cardiac Cath Lab, CHA HPMC, “The STEMI Receiving Center SRC program review is conducted by Los Angeles County Emergency Medical Services(LAC-EMS), every three years, to make sure that SRC facilities are fit and suitable to provide specialized cardiac care. By passing the review, CHA HPMC is able to maintain our designation as a SRC facility, therefore allowing us to continue to serve and care for heart attack patients from the community as routed to us by LAC-EMS.”
The leaders involved in making the program review a success for ED and Laboratory were Dr. Edwin Lee(SRC Medical Director), Anna Marie Jimenea(SRC Program Manager), Usrah Hamzie(CNO), Darra Burton-Sanders(ED Manager), Roselynn Ann Bautista(ED/ICU Educator), and Jan Anotado(Cardiac Cath Lab Director). #

할리우드 차병원이 ‘로스앤젤레스 응급의료서비스(LAC-EMS) 선정 STEMI 지정병원 인증을 받았다. STEMI(ST segment elevation myocardial infarction, ST분절 상승 심근경색)은 혈전에 의해 관상동맥이 완전히 차단되어 상당 부분의 심장근육이 영구 손상되는 질환이다. 할리우드 차병원은 지난 번에 이어 이번에 다시 지정병원 인증을 받아 지역사회 STEMI 환자에게 우수한 서비스를 제공할 수 있게 됐다.
